Esen is an old word for being well and at peace.
The swing was made to hold space. Space to calm down, to read, to spin, to fly, or to do nothing at all for a while. We wanted something wide enough and long enough that it was not only for small children, soft enough to actually want to be in, and sturdy enough that a parent does not stand under it worrying.
What we thought about

Size. About 55 inches wide and 59 inches long, so a person can lie flat inside it instead of perching. It holds 200 pounds, which covers most adults as well as most kids.

Fabric. A double-layer nylon with two-way stretch. It gives, then holds, which is what makes the swing feel like a hug rather than a hammock. Strong fibers mean it does not sag out of shape after a season.

The hardware. A stainless 360 degree swivel so the fabric never winds into a rope, a locking carabiner rated to 17 kN, and the right fastener for a wood joist and for concrete, both in the box.

How it looks. Aspen Beige, Soft Sage and Sweet Pink, chosen to sit next to grown-up furniture. A swing that has to be hidden in a back room gets used less.
It is a good swing at a fair price, with hardware we are comfortable putting our name on.
Who uses it
Many occupational therapists use swings like this one for vestibular and proprioceptive input, and plenty of families with autism, ADHD and sensory processing differences use ours. Adults buy it for themselves. What it does for your kid is between you and the people who know your kid.
